Our cooperation with the Hradec Králové Region is growing into another dimension.
This week, our director Ladislav Kučera signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Councillor for Regional Development Adam Valenta on cooperation in the field of regional development, especially sustainable mobility. The main point is the support of shared bikes in the towns and villages of the region.
This symbiosis between the private and public sectors will allow local governments to launch or further develop a bike-sharing service through a subsidy program. We are glad that towns such as Rychnov nad Kněžnou and Vrchlabí, where we initiated the project and have been supporting it together with the cities for several seasons, were an example and inspiration for starting and setting up the program.
In the subsidy program Support for Urban Mobility, CZK 5 million has been prepared for designated municipalities that plan to introduce or continue the bike-sharing project.
The application deadline is March 13.
The aim of the subsidy program is to spread shared bikes to smaller towns and villages and offer their inhabitants an alternative to traveling by public or private transport.
We are excited that this collaboration between the private and public sectors will have a further positive impact on the development of the region, as sustainable mobility is slowly making its way beyond the country's largest cities.
