Traffic safety is one of the key topics that we have been addressing for a long time in order to minimize risks and increase public awareness of safe behaviour in public space. This is why we actively initiate and support projects that have a long-term vision and are based on dialogue between the public and private spheres.
One of these projects is the Multifunctional Traffic Training Ground, which will be built this year on the premises of the Secondary School and Secondary School in Mladá Boleslav at Jičínská 762.
This unique learning space will offer multiple functions:
🚦 it will serve driving schools in training novice drivers
🚦 It will create a safe space for training basic driving skills
🚦 a new public traffic playground will be created, which will serve mainly children - small cyclists who learn the rules of movement on public roads as part of traffic education
🚦 the playground will also offer bicycles and bicycle rental
Participation in this project and the determination to see it through to a successful conclusion was confirmed on Friday 15 March by the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the main actors - the Central Bohemian Region, the City of Mladá Boleslav and the Škoda Auto Foundation. Other partners such as the ASOCIACE AUTOŠKOL ČR, o.s., Platform VIZE 0 - Drivers and SOŠ and SOU Jičínská joined the signing.v
We also support traffic safety through grants. The "Traffic Safety - Prevention" call is open until 16 April, followed by the "Traffic Safety - Infrastructure" grant in June.
We are happy to be part of projects that contribute not only to safety in public spaces, but also to education and awareness-raising about the importance of respecting the rules of the road.
