What's going on?
We believe that active people with an interest in their surroundings and an outlook are the foundation of a functioning community. International experiences, learning about new cultures and customs, making new friends, all of these things broaden our horizons and teach us new skills. That's why we are launching a grant programme for high school students in ŠKODA regions who are interested in their surroundings. The SKODA AUTO Endowment Fund will provide successful students with a scholarship for a stay abroad in the 2023/2024 school year, organised by the AFS, up to CZK 200,000.
Any secondary school student who is at least 15 years old on the date of application and is studying at a secondary school in the Škoda Auto regions* has the chance to go.
What do we need from you?
- Project proposal
- Motivation letter "Why I am applying for a scholarship" in English
- 1 letter of recommendation from a teacher or person involved in your development (e.g. from school, club or other activity you are involved in)
- Certificate of secondary education
- Report cards for the previous school year
- Consent of the legal parent to participate
Take a look around your neighbourhood - what do you think is an area for improvement; how can life in the region be improved; what new developments can positively impact the lives of your neighbours? If you have a project in mind, apply for the NFSA Scholarship Programme and get the opportunity to study in a foreign country!
Project proposal
The project must be aimed at improving life in the regions of Mladá Boleslav, Rychnov or Vrchlabí. It is important to focus on the community so that the project has an impact on the lives of others and has an overall positive effect on the region.
The theme is sustainability, but you don't have to limit yourself to environmental issues, the concept of sustainability is also linked to education or gender equality, for example. You can take inspiration from the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), about which more information can be found here.
Where are you going?
You can choose your preferred study destination from the list you will see in the call rules. If you are successful, the SKODA AUTO Endowment Fund will provide you with a scholarship for a stay abroad organised by an AFS partner up to CZK 200,000.
How do you do that?
You can apply for the scholarship via the Grantys system at this link.
However, it is highly recommended to read the full rules of the call and the application instructions in Grantys first.
You have until November 15, 2022 at 11:59 pm, successful students will be notified in December 2022.
