Škoda Auto, in cooperation with the city of Mladá Boleslav and the Business for Society organisation, organised a conference on making the Mladá Boleslav region more attractive. The organisers of the conference invited all those present to discuss possible forms of cooperation and ways of involving regional business partners in the long-term development programme of the Mladá Boleslav region. Cooperation and dialogue are key to solving local problems and improving the lives of all its inhabitants.
The conference was addressed by Škoda Auto management representatives, headed by Chairman of the Board of Management Bernhard Maier and Board Member Bohdan Wojnar. Speakers included Jan Hamáček, 1st Deputy Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Jaroslav Povšík, Chairman of the KOVO Trade Union Council, and Jiří Bouška, 1st Deputy Mayor of the City of Mladá Boleslav. At the end of the conference, it was also announced that Škoda Auto will invest EUR 30 million in the development of the region in the coming years through its Škoda Auto Endowment Fund.
