Clean Jizera River is an event in which volunteers go along the Jizera River, or where possible go on boats, and clean up everything that does not belong in nature. The event traditionally takes place on Fridays and Saturdays, with Fridays set aside for the involvement of kindergartens, primary and secondary schools located in the villages along the Jizera River. Every year, over 1,000 children from these schools take part in the EVVO event. In 2020, 24.2 tonnes of waste and more than 500 tyres were cleared from the Jizera River thanks to the removal of two black dumps. The project will be supported by the grant in the Mladá Boleslav region and the Jilemnice municipality.
