The project offers a new form of support for caregivers through so-called shared care - HOMESHARING, which is based on community assistance. As part of the project, we will be able to offer this form of support to approximately 40 families caring for a child with a disability from all over the Hradec Králové Region.
Thanks to homesharing, a child with a disability gains new friends and experiences and has the opportunity to get to know new places. While the child experiences new adventures, parents have the opportunity to relax, recharge their batteries, take care of other children and make arrangements for themselves.
Homesharing hosts are also enriched - they experience new situations, learn new things, and have the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of a child with a disability, which can change their attitude towards people with disabilities. HOMESHARING therefore brings a new form of support for carers and can help to improve the position of people with disabilities in society.
